About Workshops

At Unyielding Hope, our workshops are designed to meet people wherever they are on their journey.

Whether you are searching for hope in a difficult season or ready to become a source of hope for others, we believe growth often begins with new understanding. Sometimes what we need most is a fresh way of thinking, practical tools, and skills we can put into action.

Our workshops are created to equip, encourage, and empower you with the knowledge and perspective needed to navigate life’s challenges and to walk alongside others with greater confidence, compassion, and purpose.

What Matters Most: Creating a personal mission for a meaningful life

What Matters Most: Creating a personal mission for a meaningful life

Workshop Presenter

Terry Gurno

Workshop Overview

Most people don’t drift into a meaningful life. They drift into a busy one.

In the middle of responsibilities, expectations, success, setbacks, and everyday demands, it’s easy to lose clarity about what truly matters. We wake up one day realizing we’ve been productive, but not always purposeful. Full schedules, but sometimes empty souls.

This workshop is designed to help you slow down long enough to ask the deeper questions most people avoid, and to walk away with something tangible, personal, and life-directing, your own personal mission.

Through guided reflection, practical exercises, and honest conversation, you will begin to identify what matters most to you, what you want your life to stand for, and how to align your daily choices with your deeper values.

This is not about creating a perfect life. It’s about creating an intentional one.

Whether you are in a season of transition, success, struggle, reinvention, or simply sensing there is more ahead, this experience will help you gain clarity, direction, and renewed purpose.

How to be a Hope Giver Without Trying to Fix People

What Matters Most: Creating a personal mission for a meaningful life

What Matters Most: Creating a personal mission for a meaningful life

Workshop  Presenters: Terry Gurno and Jeremy Brennan

Workshop Overview

Learn how to walk alongside others with compassion, presence, and meaningful support.

Most people genuinely want to help when someone is hurting.

But often, we feel unsure what to say, what to do, or how to respond.

So we try to fix the situation. We offer advice too quickly. We search for the right words.

Or we pull back because we don’t want to make things worse.

This training is designed to help you become the kind of person others can safely turn to during life’s difficult seasons.

A true hope giver does not rush to fix. They learn to be present.

This experience will help you develop the mindset, skills, and emotional awareness needed to come alongside people in a way that builds trust, strengthens resilience, and helps restore hope.

Grieve Well to Live Well: Finding Help, Healing, and Purpose Beyond Loss

What Matters Most: Creating a personal mission for a meaningful life

Finding Hope in Forgiveness: A Journey of Hope, Healing, and Forgiveness

A Workshop Inspired by the Work of Dave McBroom

Grief is one of the most universal and deeply personal experiences we face in life.

Whether the loss comes through death, illness, divorce, unmet dreams, life transitions, or unexpected change, grief has a way of reshaping our world. It can leave us feeling disoriented, emotionally exhausted, and unsure of how to move forward.

Many people are told to “stay strong,” “move on,” or “give it time,” yet few are shown how to actually walk through grief in a healthy and meaningful way.

This workshop, inspired by the insights and compassionate guidance found in Grieve Well to Live Well by Dave McBroom, is designed to help individuals better understand the grief process and discover a path toward healing, renewed purpose, and hope.

Grieving well does not mean forgetting or minimizing loss.

It means learning how to carry loss in a way that allows life to continue with meaning and depth.

Through thoughtful teaching, reflection, and practical tools, participants will explore how grief affects the emotional, relational, spiritual, and practical dimensions of life, and how intentional grieving can become part of a healing journey rather than a lifelong burden.

Finding Hope in Forgiveness: A Journey of Hope, Healing, and Forgiveness

Workshop Presented by

Darrell and Sherri Bebee

Authors of Darkness to Dawn: A Journey of Hope, Healing, and Forgiveness

Life can bring experiences that feel overwhelming, unfair, and deeply painful. Loss, betrayal, trauma, broken relationships, and unexpected hardship can leave people feeling as though they are living in emotional darkness, unsure how to move forward.

In their powerful book Darkness to Dawn, Darrell and Sherri Bebee share a deeply personal journey of navigating profound hurt and discovering a path toward healing, forgiveness, and renewed hope.

This workshop is an extension of that journey, offering participants insight, encouragement, and practical tools for moving through their own seasons of pain.

Forgiveness is often misunderstood.

It is not about forgetting what happened or excusing harm.

It is about reclaiming your future.

This experience invites participants to explore how forgiveness can become a turning point, moving them from emotional darkness toward a new dawn marked by healing, freedom, and renewed purpose.

Darrell & Sherri truly know what hurt is

all about. When they moved to the Pacific Islands, the Beebe's had their own idea of the story they would one day write about their sojourn there.

That story certainly did not include terror, trauma and abuse. Yet on a balmy tropical evening, exactly those horrors overtook them in one nightmarish rush. But this book is not simply the story of a night of terror.

It is the real-life story of one family's journey through that terror to a place of peace. How? By using the hidden power of forgiveness.

Forgiveness, the remedy for life after trauma.

This workshop will help you discover the antidote to hurt, anger, bitterness and fear. Learn how to bring this healing elixir into your life.

If you have ever been hurt ... If you've ever asked where was God when you were hurting... If you want to heal and get on with your life...

This workshop is for you.

The Beebe's currently on staff at New Life Church in Rathdrum, Idaho working with seniors; but they frequently travel in the US and overseas sharing a story of Forgiveness and Healing.

Christie Peetoom is a wife, mom of two, and business owner who understands firsthand what it feels like to walk through seasons of uncertainty, pressure, and deep personal challenge.

Since marrying her husband in 2006, life has brought both incredible blessings and difficult moments, from financial strain and family struggles to the weight of entrepreneurship and the complexities of raising a family.

In some of her hardest seasons, Christie has experienced feelings of loneliness, exhaustion, anxiety, and even hopelessness. Yet through each of those moments, her faith has remained her anchor. She has seen God show up in both powerful and quiet ways, not always changing her circumstances, but faithfully walking beside her through them.

One of the most defining chapters of her life came when her family made a life-altering move to Idaho. Leaving behind everything familiar, her community, her dance studio she owned and loved, and a sense of stability, she stepped into the unknown. What once felt like loss and uncertainty became a turning point, where God began to rebuild, refine, and redirect her life in ways she never could have planned.

She began a new career in real estate and it became a season of growth, clarity, and renewed purpose. Since, she has been blessed with many opportunities to help others through education and teaching. God knew her greatest desire to serve and has continually opened the doors.

Today, Christie carries a deep conviction that even in life’s darkest moments, there is purpose, and there is hope. Her greatest passion is helping others rediscover that hope and step into a life of meaning, no matter what they are walking through.

Dave is the author of Grieve Well to Live Well, a deeply personal and hope-filled book born out of his own journey through loss. With honesty, faith, and compassion, Dave invites readers to discover that while grief changes us, it does not have to define or diminish us. In addition to writing and speaking.

Dave currently leads a small group of men, meeting regularly to foster honest conversation, spiritual growth, and encouragement. His passion is helping people grieve well so they can ultimately live well … rooted in faith, supported by community, and open to renewed purpose.
